About Us
Celtic Marine is an independent marine, vessel and cargo surveying and consultancy company. The company was borne out of the need of clients to have dedicated and specialised surveyors protecting their interests.
Steve O’Mahoney and Vladimir Valit own the company and are both Master Mariners. Between them they have in excess of 60 years sea-going and surveying experience.
Celtic Marine offer the latest in technology, computerization and swift documentation, and with their experience, Steve and Vlad have detailed knowledge of the commercial aspects of the shipping industry.
Coupled with Celtic Marine's philosophy, which is based on personal relationships with clients, the whole package and outlook allows the company to provide the necessary dedicated and specialised services to the client.
The company is based in Richards Bay but is able to service all ports in South Africa and also attend to surveys in most African ports.
